Our Story

Bella Serene Care AFH was established in 2020 out of our natural desire to make a difference to people's health and wellbeing. Our care home is a 6-bed facility available for single people and couples on Medicaid, Medicare and/or private pay. Our care home is home away from home, treating everyone with dignity and the best care. We encourage clients to be as independent as possible but are supported by our caring staff. The beauty of this Adult Family Home is in the serene care we provide. Come join our family!

We provide a 24-hour round the clock care; however the facility visiting hours are from 10am to 8pm only.

Our Services

We provide high standard care and our services include medication, Care taker, Food, Laundry, Full gym onsite, activities for daily living (ADLs), physical activities, assistance with personal hygiene, transferring and positioning, specialized care for people with developmental disabilities, mental illness, Dementia and other health conditions.

Our services

Bed facilities

We have an excellent 6-bed facility to accommodate singles and couples alike, on Medicaid, Medicare, and/or private pay.

Medication

Reminding clients to take their medications on time; Assist clients with administration of oral, topical and eye drops medications; Total assistance with medication administration; Insulin injections and Monitoring blood sugar levels.

Transferring

Supervision or standby assist with transfers; One person assistance with transfers; Provide Hoyer lift transfers as indicated in the resident's assessment; Facility staff are trained in the use of sit-to-stands but the facility does not provide this medical device.

Positioning

Cueing and reminding clients to change position or turn; One person assistance with repositioning or turning while in the bed or chair; Provide turning on a regular two (2) hour schedule during waking hours for clients at high risk for skin breakdown/bedsores.

Personal Hygiene

Assistance to full assistance with oral care; shaving and hair styling; Bed bath if client is unable to use shower; Application of deodorant, lotions, and make up; Nail care, toenail trimming - unless resident has diabetes.

Other services

Eating - Supervising and cueing clients who are at risk of choking / aspiration; Altering texture of food: cutting into bite sized pieces, chopping and/or pureeing of solid foods and Full assistance with eating; walking; toileting; bathing; and dressing.
